Departing Nowra, our scenic drive takes us north to Sublime Point for morning tea.  

Arriving in Parramatta, we meet our acclaimed heritage guide Judith Dunn OAM, a passionate local historian who will transport us back to the early days of settlement in Parramatta with colonial stories and fascinating tales.  We will explore the lives of early convict women at the Female Factory, the largest and oldest surviving convict women’s site in Australia.Enjoy a tasty two-course lunch, before taking a guided coach tour past historical sites in Parramatta, finishing the day with a visit to Australia’s oldest surviving homestead, Elizabeth Farm built in 1793 for John and Elizabeth Macarthur.  It is one of the most accessible house museums you will ever visit. 

Judith will share stories of the Macarthur family while we make our way through the cottage and its gardens.  Hearing more about John Macarthur who was a fascinating and controversial figure in the early colony.

Bringing us back to the modern day, we will bid farewell to Judith and head home.
